Let us introduce you to our beautiful Morris Hall Shrewsbury, perfect for wedding receptions, social celebrations, fundraising and launch events, workshops and classes, meetings, conferences and dances.
An intriguing historic venue for hire in the heart of Shrewsbury
Nothing is quite what it seems at the Morris Hall, originally known as the Bellstone Hall. It displays a magical mix of fourteenth and sixteenth century architecture, but was constructed in the 1930s with wonderful attention to detail by the Arts and Crafts designers of the time. Our aim is to enable as many people as possible to experience this beautiful building in the heart of Shrewsbury, so we are delighted to be able to offer both the main hall and its smaller sister the Lake Room for hire.
The main hall and the Lake Room
The main hall (maximum capacity 100 people) is spacious and atmospheric with a magnificent decorative fireplace, a lovely wooden floor and pretty leaded-glass windows. There is a stage, perfect for entertainment or speeches. The main hall comes equipped with 100 chairs and fifteen tables which can each seat eight people comfortably. Dressed professionally by you or your event organiser it’s a stunning wedding reception or party space. The Lake Room (maximum capacity 30 people) is a lovely painted and panelled room recommended for meetings, lunches, seminars and workshops. Tables and chairs can be arranged to meet your requirements.
When you hire the Hall or the Lake Room, you may have use of the kitchen which has an electric cooker with four rings and an oven, two fridges, and boiling water on tap – an excellent facility for any event requiring hot drinks. Tell us whether you would like use of the kitchen when you make your enquiry.
